Women’s Health

Women’s health refers to the branch of public health focusing on the health issues uniquely affecting women. This includes a wide range of topics such as reproductive health, maternal health, breast and cervical health, hormonal health, and the management of diseases that may predominantly or differently affect women compared to men. Women’s health also encompasses mental health issues, gender-specific diseases, and the impact of lifestyle factors such as nutrition and physical activity on women’s overall well-being. Additionally, it addresses social determinants of health, including access to healthcare, gender discrimination, and socio-economic factors that influence health outcomes for women. The aim of women’s health is not only to ensure the physical well-being of women but also to advocate for their rights and improve gender equality in healthcare systems.
